I’ve been getting some fun photography gigs lately 🙂 Last weekend I was hired to shoot a couple of fancy cars around Los Angeles to promote the new movie “The Fate of the Furious”, starring Vin Diesel. The two day shoot was designed to generate public interest in the movie, especially on social media. Judging by first week results – the movie grossed $500+ in its first weekend and broke the record for biggest global box office opening in history – I think they succeeded 🙂
There were 2 cars on hand for the weekend, a stock Lamborghini Aventador and a custom built rally car, aka the “Rally Fighter”. Day 1 consisted of shooting both cars parked at Santa Monica Pier (lots of people posing and taking pics), while day two was spent riding around LA in the Lamborghini and capturing pics of the car in front of iconic locations in Hollywood, DTLA and Beverly Hills. No, I didn’t get to drive the Lamborghini but I did get to spend a lot of time in this 12 cylinder, 700hp beast with my driver Donye. Not a bad way to spend a day and it my first time ever riding in a $300K Lamborghini. Pics are up so check out the full gallery here.
